Private Lessons
Lessons form the core of the student's learning experience and are appropriately challenging, yet inspiring and encouraging. Occurring weekly, or in special circumstances biweekly, lessons can be paid either individually, or by the full semester. Rates are reflective of these options, with full semester payment being the most economical. Current rates are as follows:
Individual Weekly/Biweekly Lesson Rates:
$115/60 minutes
$90/45 minutes
$70/30 minutes
Semester Tuition Rates (18 weeks instruction, $90 savings):
$1980/60 minutes
$1530/45 minutes
$1170/30 minutes
See Policy page for more info.
Group Classes
Group classes are an exciting way to build your skills, interact with likeminded students and explore violin playing-related topics that the private lesson time does not allow for.
Very importantly, classes provide opportunities to be inspired by other students, learn important skills for offering constructive help and support for one's peers as well as processing and sharing of concepts learned in the private lessons.
Classes will have varying formats, whether playing for each other, presenting small projects, or working together as a team in learning new skills and approaches to playing. Topics in the past have included creative practice strategies, innovative scale classes, exploration/presentation of violin genres/repertoire/composers, to name just a few.
All students are expected to join in the fun as it is an integral and inspiring part of the overall learning experience.
Classes occur 3 times per semester and are $20/student/class.
Dates for Spring 2025 will be posted soon!
Recitals
Recitals provide a clear goal as well as a sense of completion for the student's hard work. All students will perform at the end of year recital, held late May/early June, followed by a reception for all students, family, and friends to celebrate their courage and dedication.
A professional pianist will be provided, or if the student has one already, they can bring their own. Pianist fees including rehearsal(s) and performance are covered by the student.
